MAY 18, 2016 Then More of Everything!

Landscaping and lighting dress rehearsal! With more wiring still left to do! Lighting has become my most rewarding skill to learn. The nighttime showings really dramatize the model and make it come alive.

MAY 17, 2016 More Lighting and Track!

Which means threading more wire! With extra track and switches for the new spur, it required additional wiring. The nice thing about this hobby is you get to develop all sorts of skills! Those skills consist of from scratch building of structures, carving of landscape features, electrical and painting. Verra diverse! Therefore, always challenging and interesting!

MARCH 28, 2016 It's Coming Together

A lot transpired from your last viewing. The most threatening of the lot-- before roofs and doors and windows were installed— was the spray painting of the white structural shell. This was a nail-biting time, with all the work previously done resting on the spray painting being applied perfectly. Which, prayers answered, it was. Each window, door, rafter, shutter had to be constructed, painted, and glued in place! This took several weeks.

MARCH 16, 2016 Track Expansion & Wiring Upgrade Complete!

This is the 2.0 Version of the Control Panel! FYI: Next year's Blog will show the 3.0 Version! That will be the 2017 Version that will complete the panel system!?!!? As with any hobby, change is always imminent and budget is always a factor in getting there. Though I will say Karen has been very amenable to spending money and supportive of our hobby.
